The reason for conducting such work is so that the vessels can continue to perform and operate to the highest material standards and readiness when on charter.
Credit must be given to our embarked crews who themselves have managed and completed a wide range of maintenance tasks and for the continued support of our usual key support contractors. The below is an insight on some of the key works performed on each vessel:
SVS Avery – 4 new A/C compressors installed / Fumigation has taken place on board / Bow Thruster Hydraulic motor repaired and Main/Aux Engine 3000 hourly routines completed.
Secondly, on SVS Hawkins – Fumigation has been completed / Anchor D Shackle replacement / Wind Speed and Range reading on the vessels Conning reinstated / Echo sounder replacement and Engine room blower installed.
Lastly, SVS Monck – The vessel has received a fresh coat of paint / Cargo rail repairs after they were damaged on a previous charter / Fwd and Aft Conning Displays repaired and Fumigation conducted on board.
Alphatron Marine attended all three vessels in Lome to ensure that all bridge equipment is operating at full functionality, this was a great achievement as it is rare to have so many vessels collocated to facilitate the works required.
After a very busy few weeks in Lome, the vessels are now looking the part and ready for their next work opportunities.
