The vessel was given short notice on this task, however was able to adapt quickly to get the job done.
Once arriving in Lima Base, the crew were given a 6-hour window alongside whilst the cargo was loaded onboard meaning the crew had to work effectively under pressure. The crew responded and managed to ensure the task was completed safely and in a timely manner.
In order to achieve loading the 10ft container onto the back of SVS Monck, the crew had to identify the best location on the cargo deck for it to be both loaded and offloaded.
Alongside the container there were also other items that would need to be transported and to accommodate these items they would need to be strapped to the cargo rails.
Please see above the picture of the container strapped into SVS Monck.
The vessel performed to a high standard carrying out this task, with the crew working hard to ensure safe loading and delivery of the cargo goods.
