The climate at this time of year in EG ranges between 26 and 29 Degrees Celsius resulting in very tough working conditions. Therefore, prior to sailing on this task SVS Hawkins had a complete overhaul on all four A/C plants on board, this included: new expansion valves, a new dryer system on two of the plants and lastly a chemical clean. This work was vitally important to finish before commencing on the EG charter to allow much safer working conditions for both our crew and the security team occupying the vessel.
For the duration of this project, we partnered with an agent in Malabo, EG named IMAGESA. It was critical to have people on the ground to assist with numerous tasks quickly and efficiently.
All crew transfers in and out of EG were complicated with each crew member requiring a Letter of Invitation to be signed by their in-country National Security and Airport Immigration, completing this process would not have been possible without the help of IMAGESA. They also ensured the likes of provisions and cleaning products for the vessel were of high quality and always delivered on time.
SVS Hawkins spent in total 2 and half months working in EG, with the end clients being extremely impressed with her performance throughout. We have built strong connections in country and with our end clients on this task and are looking forward to any future opportunities.
We have a variety of charter and operating arrangements in place and have the flexibility to deliver a range of solutions in order to meet client needs. We provide support to a variety of market sectors.
