He has gained valuable experience across a wide range of vessel types and classes, successfully completing the appropriate professional courses and qualifications along the way.
As well as serving onboard our fleet and becoming an expert in the care and maintenance of the Damen vessels, Richard has enjoyed considerable success ashore as a Technical Superintendent, responsible for the operation, maintenance and management of up to twelve vessels engaged in a variety of inshore, coastal and offshore projects.
He has also managed and overseen a large number of Dry Docking projects for us.
Now one of our most qualified Chief Engineers, Richard is still very much a ‘hands-on’ character, regularly tackling the most complex tasks including major overhauls and main assembly replacements.
At home in Kenya he is part of a proud farming heritage, where his engineering skills are welcome and put to good use with the various agricultural implements and machinery.
Equally at home at the controls of a tractor, or in the engine room of a sea-going vessel, Richard is a key member of the Admiral Offshore team and will be an important factor in our continued growth and success.
We manage SVS Monck in-house and have a dedicated team of experienced personnel who manage all aspects of vessel operation and technical management.
